The winch drum is an important load-bearing component of the crane. It winds the steel wire rope through the role of the motor to realize the lowering or lifting of the lifting weight. It carries the lifting load, retracts and releases the steel wire rope, and realizes the lifting and lowering of the retrieval device. Therefore, the safety and reliability of hoist drum are very important.
1. Types of winding drum: according to the shape of the drum, it can be divided into long shaft winding drum and short shaft winding drum. According to the manufacturing method, it can be divided into cast winch drum and welded winch drum. According to whether there is rope groove on the surface of the winding drum, it can be divided into smooth surface and spiral groove surface winding drum. According to the number of layers that the steel wire rope is wound on the winding drum, it can be divided into single-layer winding drum and multi-layer winding drum. General cranes mostly use single-layer winding drum, and multi-layer winding drum is used for cranes with extremely high lifting height or requiring compact mechanism (such as truck cranes).
2. Structure of winch drum: the winch drum is composed of drum, connecting plate, shaft and bearing support.
Spiral grooves with arc section are cut on the cylinder surface of the single-layer winding winch cylinder of Dalian casting to increase the contact area between the steel wire rope and the cylinder, and fix the winding position of the steel wire rope on the winch cylinder, so as to avoid the friction between adjacent steel wires and affect the service life.
The surface of the multi-layer winding drum usually adopts the smooth surface without spiral groove, and the two ends of the drum are provided with flanges to prevent the steel wire rope from sliding out. Its disadvantage is that the steel wire rope is closely arranged, and each layer overlaps and rubs with each other, which has a great impact on the service life of the steel wire rope.
matters needing attention
The winch drum is an important part of the winch drum group. Regular safety inspection is required to prevent problems of components and failures of the whole equipment.
Due to the accident that the steel wire rope has cracks in the winch drum group, the winch drum group with cracks shall be scrapped and cannot be used.
When the wear depth exceeds the allowable center of gravity, the wall thickness of the drum shall not be less than 80% of the original wall thickness.
There shall be no cracks on the wheel bolts, and other connecting screws shall be tightened.
